Lady Gaga - The Born This Way Ball | Live in Manila

Yes! I was able to watch the concert of the year [alone] last May 22. Words cannot express the magnificence of Mother Monster’s most controversial Manila concert yet! Lady Gaga is truly the best performer of her generation! Paws up!

After weeks of endless craving for French macaroons, I finally had my first taste of these divine confectioneries yesterday! It was my little post-“anniversary” treat to my BBs, and this would be one of the rare occasions that I treated them. Hehe.
It was our first time to try these so we only bought a box of eight, just to be safe, at Bizu Patisserie in Promenade. Can I just say that these are the cutest little treats that I have ever laid my eyes on? They kinda look like those colorful Krabby Patties on Spongebob Squarepants, only smaller, comes in an assortment of flavors, and definitely not burgers. Haha.

We ordered every flavor of macarons they were offering except for the Mint one, by Dane’s request. I have to say that every bite of these macarons is worth every cent! The flavor just sinks into your tongue and the taste of these treats is just heavenly!

Poor macarons, their body parts have to suffer the insides of my gut.

Eating them one by one to savor the flavor.

Keep refrigerated. Now where the hell would we find a refrigerator?

Don’t you guys find the packaging cute?

2011 Highlights

Since 2012 is fast approaching, the holidays have been definitely boring and Tetris Battle is the only thing that keeps me company, I have decided to write this post in lieu of the ending year.

Janjararan! *queue in game show music* Here are the most unforgettable events in 2011 that made the year very special. 2011 has been very good to me and brought me such memorable dates. These would not be ranked according to relevance but according to when it happened. Here we go!

January

Admission Test Results

Every high school senior has anxiously waited for the Big Four’s test results which arrived early January. Lucky for me, I passed almost every Big Four school except for Ateneo, because I forgot to write an essay for my application. I just received the application form a week before the deadline okay, and that week was a busy week for me in school. Huhuhu Ateneo. Yes, laugh at me all you want. I suck.

UST Quadricentennial Countdown

You might be asking, “Wait, what the hell am I doing in a UST event if I’m still a high school senior?” It’s a long story. I’ve been so excited for college that I even attended college events, and I just did not want to miss out on this historic event celebrating the 400th year of Asia’s oldest university.

February

Last Prom and Bivouac

The two last and most special events to conclude our senior year in my school: our Prom and our Bivouac. We held our last JS Prom at Sofitel Manila and it was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to. Forgive me, I don’t visit classy and expensive places like those that often. LOL. And the bivouac, which is one of the last “rite of passages” for our COCCs before they go to officership. The bivouac for me is as important as our prom because I found it more enjoyable and fun than the former. Hooray for the obstacle course and hiking! Hooray for getting dirty!

March

Senior Year Red Carpet Premier

It was our first time to attend a red carpet premiere and we didn’t want to let this opportunity go to waste, even if it meant sleeping very late to finish our projects since it was our last project-making week. I scored four tickets to attend this movie’s premiere at SM Megamall and Lylah, Kathleen, and Mariel were the only ones who were willing to go with me and watch. The free food was awesome. Dimples Romana was divine. Ramon Bautista was Ramon Bautista.

April

Graduation

Okay, graduation was not that memorable as it was supposed to be since there were a lot of issues that arose. I’m just happy that I graduated with honors because I never knew that I could do it. Hihi~

May

Meeting Him

I finally got to see him and meet him and talk to him live and in person. Gaaaaaaahhhhh. We didn’t have any pictures though. Huhu. Just going to put a meme here as a placeholder. Everything is beautiful and nothing hurts!!

Maroon 5 Live in Manila

My friend Nyreena received tickets from her father as an early birthday present and she took me with her! Yay! Maroon 5 was epic! The crowd was wild! The entire night was awesome, even if we were far from the stage. Hearing Adam Levine’s voice for more than 3 hours made me orgasmic.

June

First Day of College

I had a hard time choosing between UP and UST (I know, this is a no-brainer) since I started to love UST when I was in high school and I didn’t care about the UPCAT results, and it broke my heart to choose UP over UST. But UP is UP. Lurlur. Anyway, we were supposed to have our welcoming ceremonies at St. Paul Manila’s Fleur de Lis Auditorium but due to unforeseen circumstances, the ceremonies were moved to UP Diliman. It was my first time to see my block as a whole and I immediately fell in love with them! Block 9 forever!

DLSU Centennial Celebration

Yes, I also had to be in La Salle’s centennial since La Salle’s just a few minutes away from school. What made it memorable is that I didn’t get to see Dane nor my other friends because of the damn signal and the damn crowd. Luckily, La Salle was bountiful with hot guys to keep me sane.

July

Joining the Manila Collegian family

Kule has been my second family in UP Manila, and I love being a part of this institution. I love Manila Collegian!

August

Quezon Fieldtrip

First field trip with blockmates! The two-day out-of-town trip was full of architectural and landscape orgasm, undignified karaoke, and getting touchy with Gelo. Lurlur!

September

UAAP Cheerdance Competition

I’ve always wanted to go here since I first watched it on Studio 23 back on my sophomore year in high school. Imagine, 20,000+ students and alumni from the eight UAAP schools come together to cheer on their school’s pep squad. Tickets were so hard to come by, so only four of my blockmates, including me, were able to watch. At least my efforts of cheering my lungs out for UP weren’t wasted since the UP Pep Squad won their second title in a row! U-nibersidad ng Pilipinas! UP fight!

October

5K Fun Run

This was my first time to ever take part in a fun run, and I tell you, the run itself wasn’t fun. But even so, I still got an uno. Hihi giggle giggle brr~~ Fat boy on the loose~~ Running like a mad man just to get an uno~~ I also saw Zorro!

November

End of First Semester

To celebrate the end of our gruesome, tiring, deadly, and nerve-racking first semester at UP, me and my Sluts (Abee, Michie, Jewel, Eden, Sam, and Ged) planned to have a pig-out session at Cabalen. But since their merienda promo thingamajig had already ended years ago, we had to settle for Pizza Hut. Thank God for the variety of restaurants inside Robinsons Ermita! Haven’t had a taste of pizza for months now!

December

Fresh Meet

Kudos to my blockmate Tiff for planning this successful event! It felt like we didn’t have any classes on that day—two of our professors were absent, and we even cut Spanish just to sell Eden’s merch! Too bad, our prof was absent so our attempt to cut was a failure. Haha! I also had the chance to take a picture with Cleve and Denzel, two of my UPM happy crushes. Teehee!

NSTP

We went to Baliuag, Bulacan for two weeks for our Literacy Training Service to teach the out-of-school youth in a barangay there. Some of the kids’ stories were heartbreaking: some of them had no parents, one’s father was in jail, and one hasn’t had a taste of any McDonalds’ meal ever. We also held a Christmas Party for them, and seeing the smiles on their faces gave our block a sense of fulfillment.

Oblation Run

I got to witness “UP’s boldest run” for the first time with my blockmates, and we were kinda disappointed since most of us girls expected to see six-pack abs and large bouncing dicks. This was also our second attempt to cut Spanish, but our professor once again ditched classes because of the heavy rain. I was also interviewed by ABS-CBN, but my answer was kinda shitty so I assumed that they deleted the video file. Someone also stole my iPod touch in Pedro Gil on the same day. Crey crey~

Block Christmas Party

I have to thank our block head Abee for this one because it’s one of the rare times that our block had actually given full cooperation for something. I had a slight fever on the day of the party (I even puked!) but I had to give my all to host this event with Angelica. The games were fun, the food was delectable, and the program was all-in-all a success. We also had a photo booth which was shared by our degree program’s org on Facebook!

UP Manila and UP Diliman Lantern Parades

The lantern parades in UP Manila and UP Diliman did not just prove that UP students are only “matapang” and “matalino,” but also creative, artistic, and would give it all for our school. Our block was apparently the noisiest in the CAS part of the parade—we copied the cheers of other universities, made them our college’s own, and cheered for our home college. We already! And I had to drag Mariel with me in UPD’s Lantern Parade though since I had no one to accompany me. Love you BB for always being there for me!

UST Paskuhan

With all the hot guys inside one of my dream schools, my second time to attend UST’s Paskuhan was absolutely worth it. Me and Mariel immediately went to UST after UPD’s Lantern Parade when Paolo, Monica, Kim, and Lylah texted us that they were already there. Sadly we only got to meet up with Kim and Lylah. Curse the Paskuhan signal! It was also my first time to have a taste of Moonleaf’s Wintermelon Tea, and it was heavenly! And I bought a Moonleaf 2012 Planner to celebrate! LOL. Did I forget to tell you that there were a lot of hot guys in the Paskuhan?

High School Christmas Party

The last most memorable 2011 event was our high school Christmas party. Even if we were incomplete and this was just planned in less than 24 hours, it was the most memorable one our batch has ever had. Love these bitches forever! Me, Dane, Monica, and Lourdes had a sleepover afterwards and we shared our deepest, darkest ~*secrets*~. I kid.

So far, 2011 was the best year I’ve ever had, and I hope that 2012 would be better. As Gossip Girl says it, “The thing about new beginnings is that they require something else to end.” So, goodbye 2011 and hello 2012! Sophomore year in college, here I come!

So yesterday we had our first college Christmas Party at @heyitsdaniellel’s place. I can say that it was the best one our batch has had so far. We also had a reconciliation session, with almost all of us apologizing for the faults we did to our high school classmates on our first year in college. Funny how our Christmas Party still had an exchange gifts part. And even though we had a hard time planning it since our time was very very limited and we kept on changing the location, it was fun all-in-all.
